The Democratic Republic of Congo becomes a seventh member of the East African Community on March 29, 2022. This new development refers me back to my class five history of Kenya’s people migration.
According to my history notes. The major groups of the Eastern Bantu peoples in Kenya are the Kikuyu, the Meru, the Embu, the Kamba, the Taita, the Chuka and the Pokomo. The Eastern Bantu peoples, like all other Bantu peoples, descended from an old Bantu nucleus in northern Katanga in DR Congo.
Coincidentally, there is Gatanga for Katanga due Kikuyu ascent pronouncement in Muranga county. A County historically assumed Kikuyu first settled before dispersion.
