Agriculture Evolution at Confluence

After incurring heavy loss to sweet potato weevil [Cylas brunneus] in my attempt to farm sweet potato organically last year 2022. I decided to do literature review in genetically modified organisms [GMOs], and this is my provisional findings:

As in other spheres, genetically modified organisms is on an evolution realm in food production from grafting, cloning-tissue culture to genetic engineering which involves changing the genetic material of an organism beyond parent organism. Scientist have found that you take a small piece of DNA-a gene-from one organism and transfer it to the genetic material of a completely different organism hence solving grafting and cloning limitations.

The concerns that insects may become pesticide-resistant if they eat a constant diet of pesticide-forming plants is minimal to necessity.
