Diabetes mellitus [From Greek ; sweet urine] is a disease caused by a deficiency of insulin secretion or by the secretion of abnormal insulin. It is characterized by very high levels of blood glucose [300-1000 mg per 100 ml blood], resulting from inability of glucose to enter into cells.
Without hesitation, I was put on medication for stop gap measure to stabilize high level glucose. Then after, I have been controlling it successfully by observing diet only without medication.
