Ukur Yatani: “2022 Polls Possible Director”

The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics [KNBS] on Wednesday 10, 2021 dispatched a report of Kenya’s economy steady recovery, shaking off the adverse effects of Covid-19 to record a 10 per cent growth in the quarter to June.

Figures from the Independent and Electoral and Boundaries Commission [IEBC] on the end of new voters listing towards the end of October, 2021, the commission had listed 1.2 million out of the six million voters it targeted due to Ukur Yatani’s progressive effort, hence keeping would voters busy earning since economic growth means sizable population are engaged in their daily work. Thus, this population being in a comfort zone, will possibly follow political direction taken by Ukur Yatani’s boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Also, the same National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani, on draft Budget Policy Statement [BPS] released on Monday, November 15, 2021, shows, the Teachers Service Commission will receive an extra Sh 15 billion for a pay rise, while civil servants are also set for a salary increment following the allocation of an extra Sh70.8 billion to ministries for recurrent expenditure concurrent with general election, definitely it will have bearing in voting pattern given this work two workforce carries significant percentage.

It is also not lost that, Ukur Yatani is galvanizing the Arid and Semi-Arid ares [ASAL] together with Jubilee joint secretary and Upya Movement patron Adan Keynan. I presume he was instrumental in planning the luncheon at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi on Thursday 11, 2021 of ASAL and the Mount Kenya Foundation [MKF]. In essence, him [Ukur] might be a gateway into frontier Kenya as far Uhuru succession strategies are concerned.
