When I look the merging of police-Administration Police [AP] and Kenya Police. Devolution of public holidays, huduma number to replace national identification card, to mention but a few. I come in conclusion that President Uhuru had reforms agenda including political reforms in his regime.
But for political reforms, where in my view, he aimed at development after general election and politics maybe in fourth year, a feat his Deputy President William Ruto has defied, hence calling what I term as a harambee. Although achieved 50% after a handshake with Raila Odinga who had also frustrated the former President Mwai Kibaki from achieving the same. But with Uhuru, Raila have remained faithful even to a point delaying his prouncement whether he will at ‘debe’ as presidential contender in 2022.
It’s from this standpoint, that he [Uhuru] had been courting the senior political players; ODM’s Raila Odinga, Kalanzo Musyoka [Wiper], Moses Wetangula [Ford Kenya], and Kanu boss Gideon Moi at State Houses Nairobi in February and follow-up at Mombasa on August 10, 2021.
