When I saw images of the US President-elect Joe Biden pressing his hand on a five-inch thick heir-loom Bible to take the presidential oath of office. A verse in the Bible came into my mind which I base my own interpretation not only on Biden’s oath, but all other presidential oaths of Christian prescribing countries.
Luke 20:17; and I quote,
Jesus looked directly at them and asked, “Then what is the meaning of that which is written:
“The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone” ?
Now, the pillar of Bible is Jesus-who people rejected for Barabbas. The citizens are builders of nation. And they periodically elect president as their head in building the nation.
The President first becomes President-elect until the time he or she will take the holding the Bible to become the substantive President. Meaning what? The Bible becomes the capstone.
Hence the stone the builders rejected has become the capstone thus fulfilling Jesus’s prophecy.
