Gumboro is a viral disease of Poultry that destroys bird’s immunity making it more susceptible to other diseases just like AIDS disease do to human.
Symptoms
-Birds are sleepy [that is the sleeps most of the time]
-Birds collapse and die
-When carcass is cut open, there is hemorrhage in the muscles, swollen liver, spleen and kidneys
Control
-Vaccinating all the chicks
-Practicing strict sanitation in the poultry houses
-Avoid situation or conditions that are likely to cause stress to the birds.
