Recently, some countries including Germany, Denmark, Ireland and Thailand, have temporarily suspended their use of AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccine after reports that some people who got a dose developed blood clots.
Well, in my human anatomy subject. I was taught the following on blood clotting.
The clotting or coagulation of blood is a complicated process involving a sequence of chemical reaction and several clotting factors. The process occurs in three main stages.
[a] Release of thromboplastin; a coagulation factor which in the presence of calcium ions initiates a sequence of reactions that lead to the formation of a blood clot.
[b] Activation of prothrombin to thrombin; prothrombin is a protein that is synthesized by the liver in the presence of vitamin K. It is converted to an enzyme called thrombin in the presence of thromboplastin and calcium ions.
[c] Stabilization of clot requires the presence of coagulation factor[fibrin stabilizing factor] XIII and calcium ions.
Haemophilia is an inherited disease of the blood clotting system, in which blood takes an abnormally long time to clot. It leads to uncontrolled bleeding even from slightest injuries.
Having recalled that, I opines that, it might be nutrition issues [deficiency] rather than vaccinations that are causing blood clotting.
