Competing For Light, a Bean Can Behave ‘Python’

A python kills it prey by constriction. Likewise, a bean can strangle another plant in densely plants population to reach out for sunlight. It do so in what in biological terms reception and response in plants-thigmotropism.

Thigmotropism is a growth response to hard surfaces to enable some plants to obtain physical support as well as to grow towards sunlight.
