Christ’s Mission of Tribeless in Service ; Maasai Oloibon Justification

Christmas in my view is a symbol of tribeless in service quoting Matthew 3 : 9 ; And do not think you say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. End of quote. This was warning by John the Baptist to Israelites against holding so dear tribal inclination fore-father Abraham just other tribes in earth.

The ritual every year on December 25, which millions of people around the world pause to celebrate Christmas about a baby in a manger across continents is a fulfillment of Christ’s mission and vision of tribeless world. Lumeya, the first Maasai Oloiboni justify this.

The Oloiboni was a very wise and clever man. The Maasai asked his advice before they did anything. He knew the right things to do at festivals and ceremonies.

Lumeya was not a Maasai. The Maasai found him when he was a young boy. They kept him, because he could work magical skills. He could find good clean drinking water in a very dry desert-oasis. Lumeya often took a big pot and apply his geographical skills to locate oasis, draw water and came back with it full of water. A skill Maasai took as magic-talk of magical sites.

The Maasai had a lot of cattle. During draughts, Lumeya could apply his geographical skills to locate green pastures-nomadism. Out of this, the Maasai trusted and believed everything he said. When he became of age, they made him their oloibon-leader.

Lumeya had a magic box which he used for his miracles-akin forked stick used in tradition well siting or biblical Tabernacle box. When he died, he left the box to his son. This son became the next oloiboni. Each oloibonie left the magic box to his son. In 1890 the living oloiboni was Mbatiany-read here Mt Kenya peak name. He kept the magic box of Lumeya. When he died he left the box to his son, Olonana also sometimes called Lenana, the last great oloiboni of the Maasai. In Kenya the Maasai first fought the British. Then in 1895 under Lenana they became great friends of the British, attainment Jesus love the most ; Matthew 5 : 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. End of quote.
