Many investors in the stock market are sensitive to listed companies soundness. And on the other coin of stock market, companies lists to raise capital.
So, I don’t know whether was by design or default Raila and DP Ruto’s public sentiments sensitive to crashing of companies some listed at Nairobi Securities Exchange [NSE] in 2007 and 2021 respectively.
In 2007 general election campaign, Raila termed most of NSE listed companies’ stocks as ‘drugs’ money. By design, maybe he wanted to crash and dwindle Kikuyus’ billionaires wealth, who he presumed were funding Kibaki. By default, maybe maybe he was misaddressed promoting majority of the businessmen to rally behind former President Kibaki for second term in 2007 save for Dr Macharia who commands over 50 per cent of Kenyan airwaves, and Raila being a news maker was and is an asset to him [Macharia].
DP Ruto making a sentiment August 2021, that he called Equity Bank to loan Harun Aydin 15 billions KShs, who according to the Kenya’s government was being investigated for links to terrorism and money laundering was by design sounding coded alarm to Equity Bank’s stocks investors, that, their investment are not handled in sound money policy hence cause panic withdrawals, thus causing collapsing and crashing. End results. He get more ‘hustlers’ from collapsed Equity bank, and tell them he have a solution in ‘bottom up’.
That outburst from DP Ruto irked and elicited Peter Munga. The founder of Equity Bank, one of the listed region’s biggest banks with over Sh 1 trillion assets grown from facilitating the three levels of production. These made him [Munga] to close ranks with S.K Macharia, and as the chairman of the Mt Kenya Foundation. An exclusive club of billionaires. Is instrumental marshaling the club to Raila Odinga presidency that culminated a meeting at the Safari Park hotel, Nairobi, on September 28, 2021.
“The people of the mountain will be looking for a leader who will not seek followers but will come to inspire us with what we need,” said Peter Munga Mt Kenya Foundation chairman at the meeting.
