The BBI verdict will provide fodder for two protagonist. Raila Odinga and DP Ruto, each to his own advantage. The way I see it judging with their immediate reaction statements.
For Raila Odinga might use it to buttress Ruto’s’ bottom up model’, by enlightening electorates this way: “look, ladies and gentlemen. How come, Ruto is talking about welfare of you “Hustler” yet he is against more money to National Assemblies which was provided for in BBI from 15% to 35%?”
And to Central Provence electorates, which might act as “Florida”: “look, the BBI was to deliver; One Man One Shilling, which him Ruto vehemently opposed, is here sincere with ‘bottom up model’ ” Raila might pose probing question to central.
Ruto, on his part might be reinforcing his wage bill narrative coupled with branding BBI as self seeking vehicle for it proponents.
